How payouts work
Payouts are performance-based and calculated per submission, within a range the Brand sets up front.
For Clippers & BrandsThe short version
Every campaign has a payout rate and a minimum/maximum range, set by the Brand when they launch it. When a submission is approved, Basevos calculates its payout from the post's performance against that rate, then clamps the result to stay inside the campaign's min/max — so a payout never lands below the floor or above the ceiling the Brand set.
Why it's performance-based
Paying by results (views, not just "a post exists") aligns incentives — Brands pay for what actually reached an audience, and Clippers are rewarded for content that performs. It also means a payout can be recalculated if you share updated performance numbers after a Brand requests them.
Where to track your payouts
- Your dashboard's Pending Payouts card shows what's approved and calculated but not yet paid out.
- The Billing page has a full breakdown per submission — the rate applied, the performance figure used, and the final clamped amount.
- Clicking any payout row opens a detailed drawer explaining exactly how that number was reached.
For Brands: setting your range
When creating a campaign, you set both a minimum and maximum payout per submission. A tighter range gives you more predictable spend; a wider range lets standout performers earn proportionally more without you having to pay every submission at the ceiling.
Campaign funding
A campaign needs to be funded before it can go live — this is what guarantees Clippers get paid once their submissions are approved, rather than a Brand promising a budget it hasn't set aside yet.
