How Drops work
A Drop is a live campaign a Brand has published — here's its full lifecycle from a Clipper's side.
For ClippersWhat a Drop is
A Drop is a published, funded campaign that's open for Clippers to claim. Every Drop lists its payout range, content requirements, and a preview of what's in its Content Kit before you commit to it.
Claiming a Drop
Claiming a Drop unlocks its full Content Kit — the Brand's source videos, any usage guidelines or Playbook, and any Ready-to-Post AI clips already generated for it. Claiming isn't a binding contract to post; it's how you get access to the material so you can put something together.
From claim to submission
- 1Claim the Drop and review its Content Kit.
- 2Post the content to your own account — either a Ready-to-Post clip as-is, an edited version of one, or your own cut from the source video.
- 3Submit the live post's link back through Basevos, along with any additional details the campaign asks for (e.g. audience demographics).
- 4The submission enters the Brand's Review Queue.
Review states
- Pending — submitted and waiting on the Brand.
- Changes requested — the Brand left feedback; you can resubmit.
- Approved — your payout is calculated and added to your balance.
- Rejected — the Brand passed, with a reason attached.
After approval
Once approved, you can share updated performance numbers on that submission if the Brand requests them — this is what lets performance-based payouts stay accurate after the fact, rather than being locked in at the moment of posting.
