Setting up your first campaign the right way
The details that separate a Drop that fills up fast from one that sits empty — for Brands launching on Basevos.
Brands · September 2026 · 4 min readA campaign's setup does most of the work before a single Clipper ever claims it. A few details make an outsized difference in how fast — and how well — it fills.
Set a real, competitive payout range
Clippers can see your payout range before they claim. A range that's too tight to be worth the effort gets skipped; setting a realistic minimum and a meaningful ceiling for standout performance is what actually gets attention in a marketplace full of other Drops.
Give Clippers something to work with
The best-performing campaigns tend to have genuinely useful source footage — not necessarily a lot of it, but material a Clipper can actually cut something compelling from. If you're not sure what that looks like, generating a few AI clips from your own footage first is a fast way to see what the material supports.
Write guidelines a Clipper will actually read
Short and specific beats long and vague. A Playbook that clearly states brand voice, what's off-limits, and any required disclosures prevents the back-and-forth of "changes requested" review cycles later.
Fund it before you publish
A campaign needs to be funded to go live — this is what guarantees a Clipper who does good work actually gets paid, and it's a trust signal Clippers weigh when deciding which Drops to claim.
Review promptly
A Review Queue that moves fast keeps Clippers engaged with your campaign instead of moving on to someone else's. Even a quick "changes requested" is better than a submission sitting untouched for days.
